Lucky for me my parents were both "I didn't save anything for retirement, my kids will take care of me when I'm older", so I don't have to suffer through this.

Seeing my in laws stressing about how much they'll leave their daughters and managing their spendings based on that has made me come to the conclusion that the expectation of leaving an inheritance is completely ridiculous and worst case people should just give it away before they die so they can see their loved ones enjoying it.

Can you blame them? Why would you want to leave anything to a bunch of ingrates who are constantly whining about you “ruining the planet” and “making housing unaffordable”, when they’re not actually calling you a racist at Thanksgiving dinner?

Seriously! I don't think we can blame them at all. What else can we expect from the most entitled, self-centered generation in history but something extremely selfish and self-serving?

lol

My coworker is leaving nothing to her kids. She said she tiger mothered them to success so they won't need the money. I'm like lol but then your grandkids could have better stuff?

Or probably have to spend it in my case

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Does it mean I an X get to inherited all their debt. And my sibling a millennial gets nothing?
