Just yesterday, my manager asked me how often I was coming to office. I said 3 days.

Then he said (paraphrasing):

Well, okay. 3 days is the minimum, okay? Now, you know it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. If you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some people choose to come in more and we encourage that, okay?

Were you wearing more than the minimum amount of flair?

You know, the Nazis had pieces of flair they made the Jews wear.

For example, Bobby is back in the office 34 days a week.

I don't really like talking about my office days...

Just was told to spend more time in the office. I will, but I will be working even less than I was from home with significantly less time spent on tasks.

I don't need a babysitter to make sure I'm getting work done.

I was told to go to the office on Wednesdays. I cancelled the recurring meeting I had at 7 pm every Wednesday to compensate 🤷

7pm? You working with another offshore team?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Yep, that time is inconvenient for both locations 😂

But now you can't finish those reports because you have to pick up the kid and traffic is hell these days.

My manager asked what I thought about our back to office announcement last month and I said it sounds like voluntary layoffs because if they cared about moral they would compensate us for going back. He laughed and said you're probably right.

They aren’t going to relax anything. It will probably get worse 😂.

Where i work its up to the people. Some always work from home, some do a mix, and some go in every day. Thats how it should be.

If they wanted more background noise during the calls with other teams they could've just asked: https://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/openOfficeNoiseGenerator.php

You guys got to work from home? I had to work on Christmas 2020.

That quote doesn't say the bosses wish they slowed the return to in office. Feel like we are all reading what we want to read.

Wtf? Are people still teleworking?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No way, tele would mean I was going to the office at all :kekW:
