I'm so sorry, I lol'd. One of our cats howls us awake anywhere between 4:30-8am, every fucking morning, if it's any consolation.
Mine goes:
"Is it morning"
"Yes"
"Then get up"
Unfortunately most of the time we get asked is at 3am and have to say no....which is not the welcome answer.
Same! We got one of those clocks that change colors during a programmable time frame, so if she wakes up and it's still red, she knows it's time to go back to sleep. Yellow means almost time to get up, and green means it's after 6am. It helped a lot, but we still get the occasionally bizarre 3am protests.
That's a pretty good idea.
This is the one we went with and it has been well worth it.

Not sure how he'll respond though. 3am this morning he's woken us up and insisted that it is time to practice his 6 times table 😄
