The joke's way older than your post. I saw the OP Europe version over a year ago.

Edit: here

Oh NOOO??

Are you telling me there's somebody else with the same genius and humour? (as well as the ability to use copy+paste on the internet)

I know, I know. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Better copyright it and sue them! You're not likely to win tho, seeing as it's Europe.

can you explain your reasoning for this comment?

It's a map of Europe, and Europe has better copyright law than the U.S.

So, yhe joke, was that you can try to copyright the joke, but you'll have to sue in Europe, and you will lose bcz they won't enforce your copyright on the joke.

That's not from memory, that's WITH memory. I hope someone got fired for that blunder.

They're still processing the error.

I feel like this is somehow a very politicial meme by including a majority of Russia and all of Ukraine, but only calling it Europe.

No. That's how we learn the geographical (not political) Europe in schools.

Including Turkey, now that's at least controversial. Oh and a bit of Iran and Turkmenistan, even.

No. Only a small part of Turkey is in Europe.
