Sounds like a really good deal. I bought the 14“ with an M1 Pro 8c 16GB Ram and 512 GB SSD pretty much a year ago for 1900€. To this day I can’t complain and even with the M3 Pro with everything else being the same I don’t think I would notice a difference outside of benchmarks.

I wouldn‘t wait for the M3 unless you want a little more discount on the M2 models… I expect the performance difference to be only marginally better in day-to-day usage… except if you‘re editing videos all day long, of course…

I agree with the other posters. Sounds like you got a deal.

I used to be the upgrade-every-time with chip changes. That was in the 2000s, when the difference was very noticeable. Modern hardware is so damn fast that you'd only be able to notice if, as @[email protected] said, you're doing super heavy lifting all day every day.

I'm still loving the performance of my M1 MBP and likely won't upgrade for a couple more years. Unless there's a super-compelling new feature, of course.

Yeah, I agree with the other posters. Seems to be a good deal and we don’t know yet what m3 will change, but it might not be that much. I just got a Mac mini M2Pro replacing my mini with M1, mainly because of more usb-c ports and a bigger ssd, not because I‘d need the extra power. Just like with the iPads and iPhones I feel like you get enough power with each generation to last at least two or three years, if not more.
