Love the cat bartender in the pic.
Pubs
A mainstay of British life.
This community will focus on pubs and the pub trade, hopefully with a focus on more traditional boozers rather than corporate drinking spaces but we'll see where the tides carry us.
If you want a different beverage try:
Another good thing about traditional boozers is that the lack of food means you can have animals in, at the landlord's discretion. My local has a couple of sausage dogs drop by at the weekend, although they stay in the bar where these no carpet.
I very much like this tradition. If i'm hungry i go to a restaurant. If i go to a Pub i do expect to be able to choose from a great selection of drinks.
This conversation got me thirsty, I'll get another round. You in?
I'm in just no pork scratchings as I am watching my salt/saturated fat/teeth.
I love pork scratchings, but also can't even think about them, because of my weak stomach.
A fiver?! Fucking hell man, I'm old.
There'd be a riot in my local if a pint was bumped up to a fiver.
edit: See previous thread: What are beer prices like in your local?
