Misleading headline.

From a different site:

with attackers demanding a $150,000 ransom in “baguettes,” an obtuse reference to the company’s headquarters being located in France. In reality, the attackers are looking for payment in Monero, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency.

Such a strange world. These kind of stories makes it funny to read the headlines from time to time.

A lot of whine

Just some blokes making sandwiches, nothing to see here.

However, the hacker(s) indicated, that should Schneider publicly admit to this latest data breach, the ransom would be cut in half. Thus, the ransom demanded would decrease to $62,500 worth of baguettes, we would presume. Even with a 50% deduction, that’s still a lot of dough.

TIL that Schneider Electric is a French company. I always assumed it was American or Swiss.

I'm French and I assumed it was German

While I despise all these hackers these days, I feel like these companies deserve it, for their utterly non-existent data handling protocols.

Well, today’s the 12th. What happened?

But they’d go rock hard stale before you got through 4 of them!

That's a lot of dough

Accessed through Jira huh, that's pretty epic but this aggression will not stand up! I can imagine the hackers sprinting away with baguettes under the their arm. Such a scrummy thing to do.

Well what should they do about it? They kanban them...
