From when you were young, or older, when was the time that you thought "this would be a cool game" in conjunction with "I want to make this game!"?

I was thinking of a MMO, where you just kinda lived life. You could either adventure, or you could take up a craft. And not the shitty side crafting jobs in MMOs, but like, you could not touch a sword once if you wanted to and you should have a full engaging experience being a farmer. 'Cause part of the farmer's job is to grow magic ingredients, for the potion maker to make potions, but needs the adventurer to gather monster parts, and the adventurer need armor, so on and so forth. Basically every class/craft could be it's own independent game mechanics and they all worked together and hang out.

I still sometimes thing about this, but maybe not mmo like. Just like you have multiple phone games for these crafts, and when you ask for calls for materials, it can come from other phone games of a different class.

Absolutely. I just want to make armor and shoot the breeze. I guess systems like that start pushing more into simulator territory, but it would still be really cool. I always appreciated it when MMOs did extra stuff with blacksmithing like adding your name to equipment you created. or letting you rename equipment.

These ideas came directly from the time I play Mabinogi! It was fighting centric, but you could age and have little mini-games for jobs, and play music! They weren't completely indepth, but it was quite nice that they were real skills you could work on. There were just...a lot of other issues with the game haha.

I remember that! Couldn't you even gain and lose weight or something like that?

Lol yes! Someone let me wear a dress only if I got fat and looking back on it...

Oof! That was like the golden age of MMOs though. I feel like there was something new coming out every month.

Yeah I was hopping around and looking for different MMOs like monthly. Be all about them, play really hard for a few weeks, and then move on to another one. I did not value my free time around then lol.

I really wanted to make a couch co-op dungeon crawler after playing Seiken Densetsu 3. I wasn't very imaginative, so I think the idea ended up being something dumb like, you played as randomized low level mobs lol.

It's not super related at all, but playing as a mob reminds me of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A Darkload, you're the bad guy!
