I never went that far, I always looked up the official colors (as far as possible) before going haywire ^^
Never have I touched a manga with my color pens! (... but as child we had the "Lustige Taschenbücher" (Disney comic books with Donald and Mickey Mouse) that had alternating color and black-white pages (every second page-pair was black-white). Some of those non-manga comic books became victims of my coloring-arts :))
Hach, die lustigen Taschenbücher, das waren noch Zeiten! Mein Liebling war ja Goofy ^^
Goofy und Donald, die (meine) echten Superhelden :D Und die beide haben ja auch einen Bezug zur Manga/Anime Kultur, da sie in Kingdom Hearts an der Seite von Sora, Riku und Kairi kämpfen.
Ich war Fan von Tick, Trick und Track sowie die Panzerknackerbande. Das waren Zeiten. 😃
