I never could've imagined that one of the country's largest factory farming companies could be severely unethical. I just can't bring myself to accept this.

I sense a hint of sarcasm.
This is obviously wrong. The children yearn for the mines, not the slaughterhouse. They should be swinging a pickaxe at some pitchblende in an unventilated tunnel after school, not cutting up meat.
(/s obvs, I find the whole "the children yearn for the mines" thing to be just my kind of dark humor.)
Not that it doesn't violate Federal law, but I thought Arkansas specifically legalized child labor.
Abusing animals and kids. What a great company.
While this isn't surprising, Green Forest in particular is a case where I'd be shocked if it wasn't happening. I grew up in the area, and I'd say that half of the town are immigrants and the Tyson plant employs twice as many people than the rest of the town combined. Lots of poor families who are struggling to make ends meet would definitely be desperate enough to send their kids to work there.
It's bad everywhere, but that plant in Green Forest is a particularly egregious case.
I drive a school bus for Rogers and I completely believe it.
The complainant said they were heard talking about how they did not know how to get money from their paycheck out of an ATM.
Might help if they had a stepladder so the kids can reach the keys.
