@[email protected] on one hand this is sad for the users but on the other i am glad it's not sudden. also i've seen the toll this takes on the admins and am glad they'll be free of it

Agreed. It was tough to see kbin.run just vanish. And while kbin.cafe's ultimate disappearance was less unexpected, AFAIK the sole admin there abandoned it without ever explaining why.
