You cannot be a Republican and a follower of Christ's teachings at the same time. The two are antithetical.

If the return of Jesus was a real thing, I wouldn't be surprised if it had happened already. But he was dismissed as a "hippie communist" and was beaten up by the police at a peaceful protest while the people who claim to worship him cheered.
He'd come back as an old Jewish man from Vermont advocating for everyone to be loved, have access to healthcare and education and for society to be more just. And birds would like him, too.
