During slave revolts in America, slave owners said they're fighting sub humans

Native Americans fought back, colonizers said they're victims fighting savages

Apartheid South Africa said they're fighting terrorists

Israeli settlers say they're victims fighting human animals

Same evil, same motives, same excuses, different times

That's true for basically any conflict ever.

For Tacitus (AD 56 – c. 120)(Germania 43, 45, 46), language was a characteristic, but not defining feature of the Germanic peoples.[52] Many of the ascribed ethnic characteristics of the Germani represented them as typically "barbarian", including the possession of stereotypical vices such as "wildness" and of virtues such as chastity.
