I agree but also disagree. It's a snake bitting it's own tail.
If people stopped buying Gaz/Oil during a whole week showing their protest on those non-renewable energy (by the way making them loose billions on the road), they would think twice as fast to find a better solution.
But then, how are we driving to work? Heat our homes? Cook food? Shower in hot water?? [...]
This kinda sucks, but IMO the only solution is somehow a worldwide societal crash where we can hope for a better world in the long run... And cross fingers we don't repeat the same errors... But I wouldn't bet on that one...
