In a statement, the right-leaning provincial government defended the move as a way of “protect[ing] Albertans”, citing 62 maulings and eight deaths from bear attacks since 2005.

So… how many physical attacks and deaths can be attributed to Albertans? Are they going to allow people to hunt “problem Albertans” too?
