A large sample of European drinking water, bottled and tap, has detected a persistent man-made "forever chemical" linked to synthetic pesticides.

The groundwater supply where I live is apparently rather contaminated by PFAS from fire suppression foam. Local government sued the nearby military airport (who were running fire drills where they deployed lots of fire suppression foam) for the cleanup, but so far they’ve gotten away with “you can’t prove it’s us it could have been anyone”.
