although I am using lemmy almost exclusively , I am using geddit at times for reading reddits , It is a good app that does not use reddit api !
I think you mean Geddit. Gedit is a text editor.

Unlike Reddit, on Lemmy you can edit post titles, so you can fix this error.
Yea. When I first glanced at the post title I was wondering how and why would you read reddit on a text editor. I mean I guess I would if I could read it in vim but not necessarily in gedit.
I personally still use a patched version of Sync for reddit with my own API key. Interestingly nothing changed over time. I still have nsfw access and don't pay anything. Wonder what's up there but as long as that works I'm fine.
Based on comments on modcoord, they've started shutting down that loophole. Would link but Reddit is currently "ow'ing"
Does it download images yet? Last I checked it didn't.
I can view images but not download yet
