Not familiar with this title but could it be that character suffers injury in the plot of the series itself, hence being shown in both states?
It's an anime-original series, so your guess is as good as mine (full disclosure, I haven't watched the PVs). I assume that will be the case though since cheerleading has the highest rate of catastrophic injury for girls of any sport (source - pdf warning).
Summer uniforms and no wheelchair, and then winter uniforms and suddenly a wheelchair... I think it's a solid bet that something is going to happen in that time.
