Tattle also has a papaya thread although it's quite dead since it is a predominantly UK site.

Hello new Lemmy friends!
Word on the street tells us our community is regularly making it the all page. While this is very cool news to hear, we can see how the sudden emergence of our posts in your feed might feel jarring and probably raises some questions. And also how, without knowing the backstory, our community might appear less than virtuous, so here’s a very brief introduction which hopefully will clear a few things up.
The woman we’re discussing is a body positive influencer and media personality who has gained fame and wealth by lying, manipulating, exploiting her children for content, plagiarizing BIPOC creators and blaming her BIPOC content editor for it (thereby ruining her career), among other things. Her fraudulent behavior is no different (I’d argue worse) from the likes of Jay Shetty (google him if you don’t know who he is or what he did). She’s the latest in a long line of grifting influencers who are abusing their power, taking advantage of their position and exploiting their followers. The difference is that she’s Canadian. Our laws around social media and advertising aren’t as clear (and where they are she’s disobeyed them), add to that, our mainstream media has protected her from those who’ve tried to expose her grift and silenced/intimidated anyone who’s tried to speak out.
Our Reddit sub was taken down due to reports of copyright infringement, which is unfounded and categorically untrue as no one ever tried to steal her work and pass it off as their own. The mods have made an appeal. While at first glance it may seem like we’re just “shitting on her” the sub has been more devoted to investigation and posting proof of her lies than just bitching for the sake of bitching. The reality is that she’s hurt, manipulated and let down a lot of people. She stole intellectual property and employment, caused mental distress and has repeatedly told lies to boost engagement and profit off her audience, so people are understandably upset that their voices are being silenced.
We’re grateful to have been welcomed so kindly by so many of you, and to those sticking around to watch the drama unfold, we’re glad to have you!

Thanks for doing this. While I was trying to figure this out I ran across a post to lemmy from a user mark about this new community coming here and how we were “harassing” an influencer.
Do people know what harassment really is for fucks sake?!?!
Thank you for making this!
1️⃣🔥🥔went with the same name🤷🏽 Where are we? What is this place 👀
So did I. Not that i posted all the time, but i figured i would keep it the same for those who might notice.
Can regular reddit users do something similar to your appeal? I couldn't figure it out by myself.
I never heard of Lemmie and I had a bit of a time figuring it out (middle aged brain) but I'm here and back!!
Downvotes. Just like on good old Reddit lol
Thank you for making this! Hopefully we can get the old sub back but this is a nice placeholder for the time being!
Thanks for setting this up @thefrogsbanana !
How upsetting that the page keeps getting removed
This is ridiculous. Like seriously. Why? There are so many others that aren’t…how was she able to??
Hi!! So happy to see this!!
there is a page for Arianna and allowing for posts about bird shit….. https://www.reddit.com/r/ariannachristiesnark/s/1KTbIm7BJk
Did anybody catch the completely unhinged comments from "cyndiewilliams87" (wonder who that could be...) and the reality account for TLPC on Jenette's most recent posts? Like these people are legit cult level crazy, going so hard for this fraud. They since deleted their comments...I should've screen shot them
Yes and Janette ate them alive. I love that woman so much. Cindy deleted her comments because she embarrassed herself throughly lol.
Hi all!!!! Glad to be here 😀
In regard to the Reddit ban - I think it’s an effort in futility to start a sub with Birdie as the focus. It’s just going to get shutdown; which is ridiculous since she should not be above scrutiny but this is what it is. We might consider a more general snark for a period of time while things cool down?
A CDNdeinfuenced page was started, not a single mention of her and it was still banned. This seemed like a safe route to me as NYC and LA both have their influencer snark communities but no. There are some very serious censorship issues I hope Reddit will be seeing clearly. These influencers are businesses and must be held accountable
You’re right! There was absolutely no reason for that sub to be taken down with the reasoning it was replicating a banned sub. It wasn’t. It was something different and the princess just happened to be caught in the umbrella of it being for ALL Cdn influencers! I don’t know anything about Reddit or how it makes its decisions but it doesn’t stand up for its users
Agree. We could snark about airbnbs. 😏
I was thinking a snark about Knix could work. We can talk about the brand partners and ambassadors, about how Knix says it’s inclusive but it’s cut out it’s trans influencer now that they don’t need her anymore, how it manipulated the SI appearance, how its product is too expensive and generally sucks. How its founder is hypocrite, the weird relationship between the Princess and Queen Panties. It seems like she is her personal pet project. She’s helping the poor, divorced, young, single mother live her dreams of taking off her clothes for money
I'd be willing to bet Knix/Joanna has a lot to do with getting the sub banned. Birdie doesn't have that kind of money or power, but Joanna does.
I was saying the same thing. Literally the day before the sub was banned, there was a post on our sub showing those negative Glassdoor reviews for knix. Then all of a sudden the next morning we are wiped out. We also even had one private sub that was not an actual replacement, nothing on there would've alluded to it being the case imo, and still banned. Its ridiculous
I really like the idea of starting a sub , even if a private one, with our same members but make it very clearly not a replacement. Like even just state its for our members to hang out and discuss anything, influencer culture or pop culture etc. I would be interested to see if it gets shut down, even if any TBP reference was written cryptically or something. Idk I am upset. I'm glad to see this new site, struggling learning to navigate it and to find where things are and figure out who is who 😆
Came over here from Reddit...thank you so much for creating this page!
Does anyone know if there’s an app for Lemmy? I can’t find one but I’m bad at this sort of thing!
this is amazing! thanks for finding this and setting it up for us!
New here. Hoping I can figure it all out. Happy snarking!
There are way more famous people whose assholes get torn up way bigger than SNL's. It shows she truly has nothing else going on in her life that she sits and constantly looks at the snark surrounding her, when more famous people are too busy to care. Her shit smells more than she's willing to admit.
