Yep, hard pass. I wouldn’t do this for an online game, let alone a single player one. Unacceptable.
This is why I haven't bought Ghosts of Tsushima yet, despite being interested in it.
At least you can skip it in GoT unless you want to play the co-op missions. Not that’s even acceptable in that case.

Sony will one day learn to not shoot themselves in the foot while running...PSN is terrible and vulnerable to hacking! Given that it isn't available everywhere, its a non-starter for me.
