Hard to choose but, if there are any that stand out it would be...

  • Frank Turner in Leeds (2019). I had seen him for the very first time, supporting Blick-182 a couple of years before. He is an entertainer for sure and paying to see him as the main act just made it way better. Would definately go to see him again!
  • While vastly different in genre, one of the best experiences would be when I went to see Andrea Bocelli (Leeds). My mum had always wanted to see him and I like classical music so it was win-win. I was never expecting the spectacular evening I was in for! Yeah, tickets were not cheap but it was worth it, if nothing more than to see my mum clearly experince a once in a lifetime evening.

My tenure in attending gigs is short as was never really in to gigs when growing up. It has only been the past 8 years or so I have attended them. Prior to that it was purely stage shows.

Ghost in Cardiff were pretty spectacular. It's definitely a show more than just a gig.

Ghost in Leeds 2019 was amazing. The crowd made it even better. There were no gatekeepers, just an audience of lovely people who loved that you loved the band that they love.

yes, the whole crowd cheering year zero was amazing. though someone in Cardiff did shit on the floor.

It's difficult picking one but the most out of control one was Cypress Hill at the Royal Court in Liverpool. Shots were fired into the ceiling, one of the support band wandered across the stage at one point apparently oblivious to proceedings, cops in full riot gear legged it passed us and when we left there was blood in the foyer and a line of police vans down the block. Apparently a gang from Manchester had come and tried to smash their way in.

Sounds a bit intense for me!

It was a bit intense for me as I was wrecked. Luckily, we were in the circle so if complete mayhem had broken out, we'd have been safer.

Here's one reminesence:

Nearly forgot, Cypress Hill waaaaaaay back in the mid 90s at the Royal Court.

B-Real was on strge, and pointed out that the "bastard customs officers took all our weed. We heard you guys here get some nice smoke, can somebody lend me a spliff"

to say it rained reefers would be an understatement. B-Real wandered around the stage, picking up joints n smellin them. Eventually found one he liked and sparked it up. At that stage the security stopped tryin to get the rest of the crowd to stop smokin

I cant actually remember if the performance was any good, but it was a belter of a night.
