Elon Musk is a dumb bitch. I don’t know how else to say it. If I worked at “X” I would be looking for a new job.
Enough Musk Spam
For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.
Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.
Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.
Since X is an everything company, their non-compete covers every conceivable field that an employee could work in. They are doomed to eternal X-ing.
Non-competes aren't enforceable in California.
Non-competes that carry that kind of restriction are generally not lawful. You can’t remove someone’s livelihood, and the courts wouldn’t enforce it.
NDAs are more often enforceable but they have to prove you actually broke your NDA - it can’t just be because you went from twitter to threads.
Plus, The Company Formerly Known as Twitter isn’t the everything company yet. They can barely keep the lights on.
Yeah, I was joking
The only people who work still work at X are moronic conservative types who love this and people on visas who can't leave without being deported.
People who love new Hardcore Twitter! Oh wow, I just realized that now it's Hardcore X. Sounds great...
Clearly, there was a strict deadline to change the logo and branding. They couldn't possibly take a week or two to finish it first.
He just wanted to kill Twitter. It's not legal to just buy a company to shut it down so it has to look like it naturally failed after bad business decisions. That's it.
For him Twitter was an activist platform contrary to his interests as a billionaire. So he bought his rights to kill it.
I absolutely believe he wanted to destroy the activist aspect of it. I also think he really thought he'd be able to add it to his other successful companies he's aquired. And 3rd, i think he really did want to read Grimes' DMs.
It will change every couple of days until it ends up being blue bird.
I know where this will be going. a few lines more and we are back in the 1940s
Context? Did Musk loose a court case already over the logo?
I think he changed the logo to be bold (thicker lines) for a bit and he didn't like it
