Seems like the proposal is to avoid racing in the Middle East during Ramadan, which moves Australia and Japan even earlier in the year

I think it’s completely fair to move the Middle East races to a time that won’t conflict with Ramadan. There was no reason they had to overlap, and should probably be applied to any kind of major religious holiday.

That’s how it used to be until they started pushing up the Middle East races. Checking the previous years, in 2017 it was Australia and then China.
