Harry Belafonte has been ear worming me this week.

Day-O and Jump In The Line keep getting stuck in my head.

I blame/thank Tim Burton

I've sat down to do the theory work for my first aid and cpr training tomorrow and I'm already falling asleep, curse my uninterested brain.

Kiddo is too big for size 000 but a little too small for 00. 00 has little grippy things on the feet, but says it’s 3 -6 months. Surely he’s not needing grip in the next couple of months?!

Already twice this weekend I've had near misses where I almost committed PT rage. Why is travelling around so infuriating

Engaging in the masochistic activity of looking at apartments and imagine what it would like to live alone. It really really fkn irks me that someone on my salary in their late 20s can't afford a half decent apartment.

Wait till you’re actually paying a mortgage! It’s like you finally caught the wild horse and it’s actively trying to buck you off for being too new to have games the market like all the freakin boomers with 5 houses rented out that they do no maintenance on!

Culinary Experiment last night. Mixed in pineapple slivers with beef mince for the ultimate aloha burger.

Was ok. Needs a bit of “something”. teriyaki sauce perhaps?

Watching a new to me movie everyday, not just lotr & hobbit 😏

Today was Good Will Hunting. I had been putting off watching this for decades because ... "reasons"

Yes, it hit as hard as I thought it would. But I'm older now and can see that movie was written by kids, genius kids but kids. 😉

It's true, easy work is relaxing, it leaves the mind free.

Luck is more important than most people know.

Choices in life aren't usually dichotomous, you don't have to choose between a person/people and opportunity. If you can, choose both.

Still shits me that society thinks smart people have a duty to self actualise and serve society. If there is duty the duty goes both ways. You want what brains can give, then give brains some support and respect their freedom of choice.

This is true. Find your people.

Decided to start that sci-fi tv series Silo and the reviews mostly being about Rebecca Ferguson's accent kinda shit me. It doesn't detract from her acting or the show so I don't get what the big deal is. Like are people really upset she doesn't have that generic American accent and think that constitutes "bad acting".

Just had a flashback to a highschool cringe moment.
I wrote a poem and drew a rose all pretty for one of my first girlfriends. She framed it and put it above her bed.
The poem was basically about how the rose is really beautiful but you have to be careful to not get too close because it also has thorns and it will hurt you...

You want a high school cringe moment.. I wrote a poem for my crush who was waaaaaay out of my league. Dropped the piece of paper on the ground and scuffed it up, then pretended to "find" it in front of her and give it to her and she instantly saw through the ruse and mocked me for it.
