Amr bin Hisham who was blamed as Abu Jahl (Father of Ignorance) by Mohammad.

Before Islam, he was called Abu-l Hakhem (Father of Wisdom), and he was one of the significant personalities of the era. When Mohammad called him for Islam, he refused by saying "these are the old stories we have already know, what do you bring up new? Converting Amr bin Hisham into Muslim was crucial because spreading Islam would be way more faster than ever. Unfortunately Mohammad blamed him being Jahl (ignorant) just because he didn't accept the new religion.

Hisham had fidelity to their ancestors, he was conversative person. He was also wisdom person and appreciated by old and wise people. Mohammad just tried to tarnish his name. Imagine that you call a wisdom man as ignorant, moreover, father of ignorance. Then, they are in an expectation of respect.

Note: According to some, he was so intellectual that he could play chess with others by heart (from their minds) while riding camels. On the other hand, illiterate Mohammad (literally Mohammad didn't know reading and writing)... If you want to see, little things are enough, if you don't want to see, you will be remaining blindness...
