And my country (canada) cowers behind the UN American veto. Fuck, I feel so helpless.

Are you working or are Hamas?

it's not like israel could get bullets elsewhere... or can make them themselves and they have their own large arms industry...
and it's definitely true that every bullet and weapon they have comes from washington

absolutely nothing in between...

Without the political, monetary, and arms supplying support of the U.S. Israel would be much less able to continue their genocide.

It all adds up.

less

when they run out of explosives, they just burn buildings down.
they're one of the richest nations... they can definitely buy bullets elsewhere...

i'm not saying the u.s. isn't complicit... but they'd be doing the same thing with or without us...
in fact, if you look back just a little bit in history, they might be doing worse otherwise.

What if the US just put an embargo on the genocidal state?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

nah

i kinda don't like the idea of america policing the world on it's own...
but, we could not veto UN resolutions to call for a ceasefire... that'd be a good start

I remember when just before this war broke out that missiles were flying out of Gaza towards Israel basically every week.

Yea, they've been fighting against the invaders since 1946, do you think history start on oct 7th, or maybe a few weeks beforehand?

While I agree, the "free speech" nation with anti-BDS laws probably won't get there before Israel kills the last Gazan.

Also the Israeli economy is barely hanging on at the moment. Because every citizen (who isn't a conscientious objector) is a soldier, and they're calling up so many into the IDF, fewer people are working in the non-Palestinian-controlled territory. They also used to hire Palestinians from the West Bank as cheap labor, but they're not doing that anymore either these days, so that's all gumming up the gears, economically speaking.
