Just back from a very nice social occasion with quite a few people I don't really know, and only two that I do. It was alcohol free, and normally that would be a bit tough for me - socialising with people I don't know while sober, but it was actually really pleasant and fun π

I'm going to go to a speed dating event next week. Let's see how this plays out. I went to a couple about 4 years ago, but the company would give you your matches number weeks later and by that time the spark is gone.
By all means try it but also don't go in with expectations.
