Currently, I have the following books on my wish list that I am thinking about buying.

Salvation by Peter Hamilton. I have read everything he has published except his short stories and love them so this is next on my to-read list.

Soon I Will Be Invincible by Austin Grossman. Seems kinda cool.

Seven Deadly Wonders by Matthew Reilly. It seems like a book in a similar vein as Jurassic Park, Dan Brown, Clive Cussler type stuff.

Pernasi By Susanna Clarke. I read her first book nearly 20 years ago and thought it was good. I really like creative sci-fi stuff. I am re-reading the Ninefox Gambit series again currently so this seems right up my alley.

Brandon Sanderson Way of Kings Book 3. Yeah, I probably need to start with Book 1 again and catch up. Has anyone read his Secret Books yet?

I enjoyed the salvation series. Read them all through Libby with my library card

As for Sanderson I love those too (as my username suggests)

I’ve read all of the secret project books and they’re all great.

Tress, Numi and the Wizards Guide are safe to read but I’d hold off on the Sunlit Man as it does slightly spoil where a certain character from the Stormlight Archives ends up.

Awesome. I am looking forward to getting back into Hamilton and Sanderson!

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

I would snatch it up on a sale for $5! I just finished the Martian and loved it.

Thats a great deal, thanks

Sorry. No deal currently. I meant, that’s what I’d buy it at if it was on sale.

Its np, I agree though that is a good buy at price.

I listened to the audiobook from Audible (GBP £8 ~ US $10) and would definitely say it was worth it. However, I understand the differences between the Martian and PHM can be divisive, but I loved it.

Foundation trilogy by Asimov, surprised I haven't read it yet tbh

I read those 25 years ago. I gotta say, I was a rather underwhelmed but by all means read Book 1 and form your own view.

Damn, I've only heard good things. I'm definitely still gonna give a try. If I remember I'll come back and let you know how I enjoyed it

I've not read most on yours bar Piranesi which is genuinely wonderful. I really enjoyed that.

My wishlist is an absolute mess. Every time I finish a book, instead of removing one from my list, I find a new book and occasionally add to it. Here it is:

  • Echogenesis

"Ocean At The End Of The Lane" by Neil Gayman

Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson

A discovery of witches.

The witching hour.

The Circle

The god box

Project Hail Mary

Bloodsworn book 3 - when it's released

I have to look up a bunch of these ones. Gaiman is excellent and the Ocean book is good but not his best. Mistborn is simply outstanding though and I devoured them. Hail Mary I know about and want it on sale. I don’t recognize the rest.

Only one from your list I have read is Piranesi, but I just had to say I really enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of the genre so it was admittedly right up my street.

Some titles from my 'Short' TBR list include

  • The Tusks of Extinction by Ray Nayler after really enjoying The Mountain in the Sea.
  • The Long Mars by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter (#3 in the Long Earth Series).

In terms of waiting I only have a couple

  • Doors of Stone by Patrick Rothfuss... But by now I should probably reread the first two once it is actually out.
  • The Martian Contingency by Mary Robinette Kowal (#4 in the Lady Astronaut series).

Edit: removing a spoiler that didn't get redacted properly.
