Indonesian airline Batik Air has announced it will fly from Canberra to Bali three times a week from June.

It is only the second airline to announce international flights out of Canberra since they ceased during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The trick will be seeing what the cost is like, but you definitely can't argue with the convenience for a popular tourist destination.

I expect it'll be noticeably more expensive than flying from Sydney, but if the difference is not too exorbitant it could be worth it for many people to not have to deal with the time and expense of transport to and from Sydney.
