I don't customize until they make Sergeant, there are still a lot of dead, customized soldiers.

It's okay, they go in the character pool so they can die again next time.
I don't know how many times I've sent the full cast of TNG and Deep Space 9 to their death.
Every time, it's "bye Quark, see you on my next ironman attempt"
