Hello IT professionals of Denmark!

So I've been on assignment here for over 6 months now and having constant issues with getting equipment on time and in-spec from my company.

So far I've been getting by just browsing Pricerunner and then expensing items, but I thought I should look into settling on a specific vendor and running them through approval.

Where do you get your parts from, things like cables, peripherals, minor tools (cable strippers, testers etc)??

Is there maybe a specific sub for discussions on hardware in DK or maybe some known Facebook groups where wisdom is shared?

I'd be happy to hear all of your answers.

most companies have deals with a company to deliver that stuff

but if you are looking for things outside of those systems, av cables and proshop will have most stuff you need and normally deliveres within a week

Yes, we do have DELL for computers and our Vendor for other stuff, but the last one ships from the Netherlands.

This is to find a candidate locally in DK to run through approval for vendor.

This would help save money, delivery time and improve situation with sustainability.

It's also why I'm checking for recommendations, cause we will probably aim for invoicing and delayed payments on 30 day cycles.

You have my condolences, I don't get how Dell can be so successful despite churning out what is essentially ewaste in my opinion

But I would contact Proshop and av cables, both have a large presence in Denmark

Proshop, Edgemo, EET, FS.COM, Greenline, RS Components. Got a few more, but haven't bought from them in a while.

We use atea and netsolutions.

We have an account manager at each and whenever we need something we just email them. Usually we have the stuff the next day.

Most larger companies have some sort of exclusive agreement with one, or a few suppliers, and buy everything from them. As a result, you might get laptops or monitors at a pretty good price, but you are being screwed big times on cables, tools, etc.

Another important question is maybe how much time you want to waste, shopping around to save 15kr. on a cable? If you have one supplier, they probably send you one invoice per month, for all your purchases. If you buy from a random store, you need to pay by card and then get reimbursed from your company, which generates a lot of extra paperwork.

We are a minor company, and buy stuff from all over. Some noticeable standouts are:

Lomax: They are not necessarily the cheapest, but it's very fast with a business account, and we get the items quickly.

Av-cables: Minor computer stuff like cables, USB-stick, switches.

Top-date/mm-vision: New computers. Our needs are very none-uniform, as in some wants a laptop with docking, others want an AIO-computer and oldtimers prefer a "normal" computer. So we just buy as we need it.

Proshop etc.: Computer screens and keyboards.

DBK: For books. I have nothing positive to say about DBK.

magaprint.dk: We use these for our primary printer (Ricoh). It just works.
