Anti-censorship

Censorship is bad, and is often difficult to seek accountability for (because such attempts are themselves censored).

This community exists as a safe place to report on instances and patterns of censorship among pro-GME, pro-DRS, and financial transparency accounts/content.

RULE: Due to the unfortunate risk of escalating tensions, please limit content in this community to factual record. Please do not include commentary on presumed motivations, intentions, shillery, name-calling, etc. If such commentary is included in screenshots, it must be redacted out.

Congratulations OP on achieving this badge of honor.

Continue to spread the word where you can. If I see any conversation on superstonk about alternative locations or platforms I like to send a DM to those individuals. Even though you're banned you can still do this. fight the power! we are inevitable.

The way I see it, every time someone is banned from superstonk for talking about alternative platforms it simply motivates those individuals to spread the word even harder.

I definitely used the image on the GME Reddit sub. Thanks for this!

First I've seen that they are using a 'whynotdrs' filter.

Thank you for helping to spread the word. I believe this platform is a better fit for the broader community - a reddit alike with transparent moderation logs, no for profit company behind it, and no advertisers present to influence discourse.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been trying to spread the word heavily on Reddit the last few days. The ban is my motivation!

The mods of "those subs" are charlatans and have been for years. They profit from an ignorant community and would lose by having it fracture. They would never willingly give up their position either.

Use the opportunity to get out of the cult.

Agreed. That’s why I was trying to inform people of lemmy. I posted about the censorship and lemmy on the gme sub afterwards and a few people found this instance because of it. All worth it

Hmm, I see a confirmation of a "whynotdrs" automoderator rule. Seems a bit more transparent than I've seen before, but lines up with recent behavior.

I don't know why they see Lemmy as such a threat. They're more than welcome here as well!
