Hello! First time in the doing anything like this, so please bear with me! There isn’t a place for people to post or talk about their journaling, which can be very helpful to others. So I decided to make one … even though I’ve never done anything remotely close to this. ———————————————————————— Welcome

This is a community for all journal related things prompts, questions, showing off, really anything relating to journaling. Always on the move, show off your everyday carry journal set up. Don’t write down paragraphs upon paragraphs of words, no worries! No matter how you journal or how you decide to keep your journal this community is for anyone who wants to share or just excited to see others set ups. ———————————————————————— Rules

No hateful conduct

Due to the nature of journaling posts can be very personal. Anyone who is found to be overly negative or discriminatory towards another member within this community will receive repercussions relative to the situation. Have basic etiquette, this community is based on positivity and that will remain my goal throughout.

No spam

Spam will be considered as posting the same content more than three times. ———————————————————————— Note

As this is my first time creating a community please let me know if there are any rules I should implement. I am completely open to feedback and criticism as long as it’s for the best interest of the community.

Hey!

I've been journaling for about 7 years now (Wow... already) and an issue I've always had is when I have to write on a specific page but run out of space and can't go to the next one because it's already used.

I've tried post-its, loose sheets with a clip, give up and turn a couple pages and title the new page "Monday, contiued" or whatever. And all those solutions have felt very "Meh" and lacking elegance.

Do you have a clever trick or system to fit extra stuff in a page that is already surrounded?

Should I just learn to embrace some chaos and use a new page not in order?

I tend to use my page more or less consecutively so haven't run into this problem very often but now I'm doing whole spreads for the books I'm reading and having to jump around them. When that happens I've been doing a fancy arrow with the page number to jump to doodled inside it. It's probably not very elegant but my journal is kind of a mishmash so it fits the (lack of a) theme.

I'll try that! I'm rather minimalistic in my design but I'll try to come up with a fancy arrow or symbol.

Maybe a letter from a foreign alphabet could look great and be fun to write as a bonus!

In bullet journaling, you would just put an arrow at the bottom of the page and then the page number on which it continues. If you're into that kind of thing.

Thanks. I'll experiment with that for a while and see how it feels.

Not exactly elegant, but I have sometimes just taped in an extra page. If you are careful to align it well, I find it turns quite smoothly and looks fine. My journaling style is quite 'anything goes' though, so it might not be for you.
