Overall I liked it.

I was a little worried they were going to go over the top with magic powers. I think they did go a little too far, but they didn't go ridiculous.

I would have changed the final fight a bit. Have Fisk watch as his goons beat up Maya. Maya's cousin and grandmother can watch in horror.

With Maya "beat" start beating on the cousin and have someone push granny to the ground. Maya can then gain her magic powers. Have her start fighting back, goons stop beating other folks and turn to Maya.

As Maya overtakes goons, getting closer to Fisk, Fisk encourages her. Demand that she fight harder. Stronger. Have her fight Fisk. Do a little dark side let the rage flow through you.

Then Maya can figure out pure rage isn't the way. We can do a little magic, have the same therapy scene.

If we want to keep the outdoor stuff just have the goons leave their posts and help defend Fisk. A backup car can still be handled by Biscuit. Her uncle could be slowly trying to break in and help, but not prepared to take on 20 goons, but just the one important goon, that's fine.

Basically don't give everyone powers. That was too much.

Yea everyone getting powers at once cheapened it for me. I'm glad they had that other scene with Fisks mind, even though it was random with no prior indication that she could do that.

I'm worried that "everyone gets powers" thing is going to get memed now. The series was really good otherwise

I'm hooked on the closing song When We Remain by Samantha Jo Crain. Found a translation of the lyrics for those who wanted to know.

Okla e maya momakma, tamaha chito okla imihaksi tuko i foni aiyokli ahoba hapiachi kiyo. Okla e maya momakma, napakanli, micha iti, micha nan vpi ahoba osh ohmi tamaha chito okla imihaksi tukon okla il vbachike. Yakni i natanna ibachvffa hosh okla il ilai achonli tuk. Hapi fiopa ya, shotik chinto okla il itibani tuk.

When we remain, we will not be like the beautiful bones of a forgotten city. When we remain, we will be the flowers and the trees and the vines that overcome the forgotten city. We have woven ourselves into the cloth of the earth. We have mixed our breath into the expanding sky.

Chi pisa la chike. "See you later."

tvshka means warrior, but i'm not certain about Ahlak-Fi, but I want to say it has to do with either resting (like a barracks) or not resting (lots of energy)

Credit Still

Absolutely a beautiful song and I look forward to more in future Echo adventures.

I'm just going to say it...Alaqua Cox would make a great bond girl name

Post (mid) credits scene.

Mayor Fisk. Excellent. That'll be a good storyline for Daredevil.

They clearly cut something from in between Biscuits message and Maya simply being there at the event, right? How would she know to get there when Biscuit explicitly tells her that the others are not there?

The fight in the barn also was a bit overly cheesy for my taste.

Apart from that, a great finale!
