Crazy to see this news:

The suspect, Alan Wilmer, was connected to the homicides of Colonial Parkway victims David L. Knobling and Robin M. Edwards via DNA. His DNA also connected him to the 1989 cold case murder of Teresa Lynn Spaw Howell.

Kind of wild to see this news. I lived in the area during this time period and was always fascinated by the case. I have to wonder if he was responsible for the other murders grouped into the "Colonial Parkway Murders" from the same time period. I mean, it would make sense, but they stressed in the press conference they have no evidence connecting him to those murders. Just would seem crazy to have two killers stalking around in the same area with the same MO. Anyway, glad that DNA finally caught this guy, even if he escaped punishment.
