I think I would get something from the G&L custom shop. I love the look of Kiloton 5 string but I don't know if I like the pickup placement.

I also would check out a Lakland Joe Osborn 5.

What about a snazzy double upright? ;p

To mess around with, definitely. But I don't plan to practice enough to play with good intonation ๐Ÿ˜‚

A 4 string PJ with a transparent purple finish, gorgeous grain, black hardware, bwb pickguard and a drop tuner. I'm pretty sure I've seen one of these by Lakland, but I'm not familiar enough with their necks to know if that's the exact one for me.

Edit: Yeah it was Lakland. Skyline 44-64 GZ in translucent purple. Look like I'd have to add the drop tuner myself.

Oh man, a more affordable one would probably be a Warwick of some sort but I'm also a huge fan of Periphery and would like to try one of Nolly's signature basses from Dingwall.

Yeah I've been curious about Dingwall... They have extremely long scale 37 inch B strings. You have to buy special strings for it.

I would love to get some comparisons between the tone of that vs the tone of a 34 or 35 B strings. I want to know how much of a difference it makes.
