Jorden Shyann Nebling was born on March 8th 2001. She grew up in foster care, but was adopted by her stepmother Mary Tucker, along with her older sister. Tucker described her as charismatic and having few enemies.
Nebling had a history of drug abuse as a young teenager, and during this time she started a relationship with a man named Tyler Wilkins. The 2 briefly lived together, but the relationship was abusive. According to a cousin of Wilkins, he would deny Jorden food, and had once pushed her out of a moving car. The 2 split after 2 years.
According to Mary Tucker, in October of 2020 Jorden was happy, had taken a drug test and was clean from drugs. She had just gotten a job that she was excited about, was living with her biological mother and was even planning on going to Tucker’s house to celebrate her little brother’s birthday.
On October 9th, 2020, Jorden, and a man she had just started seeing borrowed a car. The 2 were planning on driving from Travelers Rest, South Carolina to Cowpens to see some friends. The man then left Cowpens with a friend that same day.
On October 10th, 2020, Jorden began to drive herself back to Travelers Rest alone. Unfortunately, her car broke down in front of a house near the Old White Horse Road Extension in Travelers Rest. The person living in the home became worried, and went out to speak with Jorden, who assured them that someone was coming to pick her up. The witness then watched as Jorden got in a car with a white male, who drove off at around 1:30pm. This is the last sighting of Jorden Nebling.
Jorden's sister became concerned after not hearing from her in over 2 weeks, and reached out to Mary Tucker, Jorden's stepmother. Tucker said she should speak to Jorden's biological mother, who Nebling was living with at the time. Her biological mother said she believed Jorden had run off, and would return, and therefore had not reported her missing. Tucker described that as “unacceptable” and reported Jorden missing on November 8th, 2020, over 3 weeks after Jorden was last seen.
Investigators quickly determined that the man who had picked Jorden up was her ex-boyfriend, Tyler Wilkins. He confirmed that he had picked her up, but said that after driving her to his house, the 2 had gotten into an argument, and Jorden had left. He said he had no idea where she had gone after this.
The case then went cold, but Wilkins would soon be on the police's radar for a lot more than just Nebling's disappearance.
At 8:34pm on November 9th, 2022, police entered a house on Sawmill Road, South Carolina.
Inside they would find the bodies of Wilkins 22-year-old girlfriend Clarissa Winchester, and her newborn son. Clarissa had apparently been 7 months pregnant when she was murdered. Investigators determined that Clarissa had been held captive inside the home, before being assaulted and beaten to death. She had died of blunt force trauma to the head and neck. The newborn had then been left with his mother’s body and had died of neglect. The scene was described as one of the most gruesome that law enforcement in the area had ever seen.
Police soon arrested 22-year-old Wilkins. He is currently being held without bail on charges of kidnapping, murder, and child neglect.
The cases of Clarissa Winchester and Jorden Nebling are widely believed to be connected, and Wilkins is currently the prime suspect in Nebling's disappearance.
Nebling is described as a Caucasian female, standing at 5'5 and 110lbs. She had blonde hair at the time of her disappearance, with blue eyes, pierced ears and a tattoo that says "live free" on her left forearm.
