I've just failed to throw a grenade past my NPC friend while on the bycicle, twice it hit her/him turning it hostile and the last time the grenade exploded point blank and killed us both XD.

Never skip throw training :P

Hmm,

  • being pulled into a alley by a grabber zombie, with a screecher nearby and then having a skeleton hulk block the other side while zombies come from behind the grabber. Bad scouting on my end a zombie master can be found in year 1 spring.

  • normal hulk falls down a hole, survives, now decides it is a gears of war worm.. tearing up the city steets and my dumb ass goes to look what is destroying surface tiles, hulk digs out structural integrity of the tile I am standing to look down fall into a zombie apocalypse about 8 tiles thick.

  • decide to follow crazy npc into survivor home, not expecting land mines.... yeah 206 damage later

  • npc death specific: Find a surface vent, which means there is a lab if I break the vent and climb down ladder, leave 3 npcs in vehicle because I was outsourcing labour for merch and they are left over. There is a crater between vehicle and surface vent. Clearing out lab, see human corpse think nothing of it, pulp and move on. Do a deposit run to the vehicle, realise there is 2 people missing. Loook around for them, neurons not really firing off until I go back and look at the corpses clothing - it is the clothing I gave them ( Migo rescued slaves have no clothing)... now realise I didn't set their A.I. to not investigate sound, look for other body, find it under rubble and realise they fell down the hole to investigate one died to a floor collapse other died after survivng and fighting first enemy they came across. More upset they damaged good style items, and live with the fact they won the Darwin award.

  • old portal storms would be global and the if the enemies hit you they fatigue you, enter me not knowing the extent of the fatigue, getting greedy with a Hub01 mission to collect portal storm data. Portal storms ends and character falls asleep... and over a period over about 5 days watch as my character enters a coma, wakes up briefly from a nightmare only to immediately go back to sleep again...

If nothing else I was surprised they lasted that long with no resources to both my annoyance and admiration.

It is better now, you can at least grab a snack and get something to eat now when certain enemies exhaust you to that point until the malus goes away.

  • i think it is tone down now, but trying to sleep out old portal storm in evac basement, thinking warm clothes are enough.. fall asleep and never wake up. Better to just throw blankets on a surface and your character makes themselve warm enough with it.

  • get nasty bite, I am not paying attention gets infected and die in my sleep from infection

  • thinking it is only slimes then proceed to surrounded and suffocated by the sheer volume of attrition

I mean on the motorcycle with 2 seats

1: spawn and get out of the shelter

2: there are two flaming eyes right next to the shelter

3: die

That is bad luck, 1 eye is usually a pain when geared and prepared for it, but 2 at spawn - ouch

you know, weirdly enough, my last death also included a grenade and a bike. I was retreating from a few beefed up zombies on the way back to the base, and whimsically decided to leave them a parting gift. I turned 180 on my scrapbike, upped the acceleration to get out of the splash zone, activated a grenade, and threw. I uh, didn't throw the right grenade though...
