Until and unless IBM changes the deal, no.

Fedora is leading edge, rolling-release (more or less) Linux distro that IBM bases RHEL from periodically. Fedora has always been allowed to play with new technology and ideas (Wayland, btrfs, etc), while RHEL is about stability and long support cycles.

He makes a good point about Amazon too. They rebased from RHEL to Fedora for a reason. They're not going to risk all the effort if they thought it was on some shaky ground like people make it out to be. There's a LOT of FUD out there right now. Unfortunately, Red Hat hasn't been doing itself a lot of favors with the way they've handled stuff lately, and I think they need to do some serious PR efforts.

Is the lack of engagement here a recent thing or has it always been dead?

We just started a few weeks back, but yeah it's surprising how few people talk here considering the subscriber count isn't super low in comparison to other ones on the Fediverse.

Yeah !linux seems to be pretty active. I figured with all the drama going down that this community would be all a buzz but alas, silence.

Lots of lurkers for some reason. Feel free to stir up some conversation. I'm sure some of us are up for more organic discussion. I know I am.
