A stubborn military man that learned to change and think for himself and end up finding love. This could’ve been the main character in any other game. Goes to show how full of interesting and heartfelt characters IX had.

Didn't like FF IX when I was a kid. After having "cool" characters like Cloud and Squall, Zidan was underwhelming. Didn't even finish the game.
+15 years later, played the game again on PS Vita, this time as an adult. I fell in love with the game. I cried watching the ending, Vivi, Zidan, Steiner. All of them become my favourite fictional characters. Love the game so much. It is definitely top 3.
