Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the process of getting my driver’s license here in Copenhagen, and I could use a bit of encouragement. I’ve already taken 13 double classes (2x45min), and I still don’t feel quite ready for the test. After discussing it with my instructor, it seems like I might need around 5 more classes, which has left me feeling a bit discouraged and, honestly, a little stupid.

I had initially thought that the average number of lessons taken per student was around 10-12 doubles, so I can’t help but feel like I’m lagging behind. I was hoping to hear about your experiences and maybe get some words of wisdom to lift my spirits. Thanks in advance!

Nobody feels ready after the legal minimum. There's a reason it's a legal minimum - it's the point where the best theoretical student could be ready.

I honestly felt ready quite some time before that. But i guess everyone is different. And as someone wrote take whatever amount of lessons it takes for you to feel comfortable driving

I felt completely ready at the legal minimum, so did by far most of my friends. None of us had extra lessons. Nothing wrong with op not feeling ready, but saying no one is, is dumb.

Thats a lie tho.

Some feel rdy some dont. In the end most people pass anyway.

If you're not rdy discuss with ur instructor and get more lessons. Ask questions, discuss the tests you take and why u failed answers so he can explain.

After every test we did in class we went through and discussed a question if anyone answered wrong.

The online ones you can always take SS and mail ur instructor or show up and talk.

I felt ready after the required minimum but my driving instructor insisted that I needed more hours, that he wanted to be paid in cash for, not suspicious at all.

I passed everything on first try at the age of 38.
