Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

I can't stand super hero movies either. They're all the same story. What's the appeal? I don't get it.
When the early superman and batman movies came out, they were great. Even the first ironman was great for the time...the problem is they have been mass producing the same movie every year for the last 13? years.
Which Superman movies?
C.R.
Ok, I'm with you.
B.R?
Yeah that one was alright too. Wasn't really groundbreaking though like that first Supe one was, though
The early ones.
Like, Superman and the Mole Men, with George Reeves?
Easy to digest. It’s like the McDonald’s of movies. It’s certainly not the best culinary experience you can get, but at least it will please most people.
Mmm... Some have been almost exactly the right film for the right time were very satisfying. It's easy to say they are all simple and basic after it's been a decade and they have printed out a hundred clones that all are the same but some truly were impressive.
I still think the reverse hero's journey following the villain complete the arc to confuse the pathos of Infinity War was pretty sweet way to avoid the bloated cast.
And Iron Man was a great take on a flawed character that had a really great arc considering you are pretty much always meant to hate him a little and it was perfect casting.
But now casting is done by who needs the press and who can bid the highest and it's pretty much all garbage. But a decade ago... It was like getting an original McDonald's burger and fries from 2 brothers who liked good burgers.
And a good one is easy on the eyes. Nice things to see explode, neat uses for a super power, gymkata in a fight, really just seeing something on screen that would fit in a day dream.
Sometimes they are far from the same movie and have expert cinematography. Being a superhero movie doesn't automatically make something more prone to formula.
Agreed. I like movies that give me something to think about. Superhero movies don't give me anything except "Who will this guy punch next?"
Scorsese said they were bollocks about 5 years ago
Last year he won an Oscar, who the fuck gives a shit about the latest MCU movie today.
Who gives a shit about the oscars?
I do.
Though not much.
He said right before releasing The Irishman
