Hej, allesammen!

I am a first year student in Denmark and I've been here for about 6 months now, living in Sønderborg.

A mixture of factors like seasonal depression and being away from home has got me really on edge recently. I really want to change this fact and start feeling comfortable here. I'll be studying for the next 3 years after all 😃

I've been studying the language from September and, while I'm not the best, I can say it is quite interesting, so I'll keep on going. I think one of the major factors that will make a difference is to embrace the culture and get immersed. What in your opinion would be the way to do this? And also can you give some recommendations like books, activities, music, food, just everything in general?

I'll be very happy to read your replies!

Thank you for your time!

If you're into board games, card games, Warhammer or stuff like that, they have a really nice and cozy boardgame cafe in sønderborg called "Æ bræt". People there are super friendly and social and there's a lot of international people as well. You can just hang out and get a beer or coffee or join people for games or partake in their activities. Awesome place! :)
