If we're going with actual names, then, I'm Rafii. I'm from Pakistan. It's so so hot here. Deathly heat.

I had an Aunty that taught English in Pakistan for a while haha that’s cool! What made you come to Lemmy? Reddit going bad was a part of it but I’m curious about open source stuff and liked the idea of a new community 😂

Me too. I'm into open source and stuff, so much I tried 4 or 5 distros on my potato PC. Yes, seeing Reddit's behavior towards its user made me have a sour feeling toward it. I used to love reddit as it was the only social media platform I was on. Lemmy is fun, and people around here are nice. Also, in What city did your aunt teach in Pakistan?

She taught in Islamabad for maybe 3 years in the 2000s 😊 I wish I could have gone too haha

There was a stage I tried out all the major Linux distros out just for fun, it’s fun to play around with and try to fix things!

Islamabad? Yeah, that's a nice city. Quite the greenery can be found there, even more so in 2000s. We're currently in an economic crisis but we do have some beautiful places in Pakistan, and people too. Agreed 100% about distros, so fun to try new stuff.
