There is currently a mod right now called factory search. It searches everywhere, like furnaces, assemblers, chests, player etc. I can't live without it, it's so nice. Iam glad it's being implemented Into the game. But I hope they make chests searchable aswell, otherwise I guess I'll continue to use the mod still

Well, they've actually been working on the update for a very long time and they're only telling us about the ideas now, one week at a time.

But yes, there are a lot of great features here
