Obviously not that great in comparison, but I've managed to keep running 3 times a week since September last year. I'm pretty happy with this I've gotta say. Started running for weight loss and heart health. Haven't lost any weight - I'm still ~120kg post COVID - but my heart health has improved a lot.

Side note - if I was to compete against the 4 minute mile record holder, they would beat me by almost exactly 4 minutes...haha

A 26 minute 5k at 120kg and with a dog...? Are you an ex-Olympian? An experimental government cyborg? That is a very impressive time! Most people at my Parkrun would be well over that time at half your weight and without a dog.

Ha. Not ex Olympian, but ex-climbing arborist. Doggo is part cattle dog so he keeps my pace up.

Gained 20kg through COVID lockdowns. Turns out it's easier to put it on than take it off. Who knew hey....

I'm guessing you are just a big person regardless of weight gain? No pandemic can take your stride length away from you!
