I used to see them almost daily as a kid. Sonic booms would rattle the windows a lot too. They were so cool. A couple of SR-71 pilots came in their flight suits to the elementary I was at and talked about it one day. They were like spacemen to us little kids.

They are space men! They've flown as high as 85,000 feet altitude.
