I’ve tried it with my SO during a visit to IKEA. So when we were apart for a few minutes I was able to give an update where I am or what was interesting so look at. But in public I found it rather awkward others listening to our conversation. And now I can’t think of other use cases. So how, when, where and with whom do you use this function?

I thought you meant actual walkie-talkies, which would be cool, not a phone call but pretentious.

Are they really tryna bring back chirp "...where you at?"

Radios stuff is starting to merge with modern technology (cell phones, wifi etc are radios just used for data).

For voice bluetooth earbuds with mics can be used with the radio itself chillin in a backpack or something. And the new hotness is stuff like meshtastic, where your phone bluetooth talks to a even smaller transmitter to bouce text messages and gps data to other small transmitters without needing internet or cell towers. Kinda neat even though it doesn't really have a practical purpose for most people
