Today I did what I had to do
For my sanity.
Told my father all my feelings;
"I'm a travesty".
He wasn't there when I was small,
"Are you here for me?"
Does he care for me?
We barely speak.
But he said he is proud of me,
And my journey.
That he'd support me always,
And that he does love me.
I told my work I'm done;
I won't be coming in
Ever again, I'm through with phones
I live for me.
I applied for a course
In a career I've never been in;
If I want change it's up to me,
I can't keep going on like this.
