Heey I'm new to the country and working for 3 temporary agency. I have A card tax and gonna apply for a B card tomorrow, after losing chunk of money due to all of them tried to use my A card. If I get B card, how many companies can use it? At which amount do I get taxed? Last but least do I need to get C card etc ? Thanks so much.

There's a "Hovedkort " and a "Bikort".

You can only use the Hovedkort in one place. Wage paid using this will automatically have calculated deductions so your get more so to speak. Eg. if you have 4.000 DKK deductions per month and earn 30.000, then the 4.000 will be deducted from the 30.000 and then you pay taxes on the remaining 26.000.

The Bikort can be used in multiple places but you pay full tax, no deductions first.

At the end of the year you make your Selvangivelse (Tax return) and you'll then receive a tax return or have to pay more tax.

Use your Hovedkort where you earn the most.

Don't confuse this with A Indkomst and B Indkomst.

Wow so much to it hahaha just used to the government doing all that 😭. Thanks I think I understand I need to call them but at least now I have a good idea 👏. My top earning on my main card and the rest will be fully taxed where I either have to pay more tax or get back some at the end of the year if I understand right. When is does the tax year end in Denmark?

The tax year ends 31 December. And the returns or extra pay will be in mid march. And the government will do everything for you here as well, only thing you have to do is tell your employers what tax card to use. Rest is automatic

Basically what u/beltoft already said. It's not very complicated since the employer takes care of the taxes.

You can/should check if your Forskudsopgørelse for 2024 is correct, that's an estimate of what you expect to earn during the year as well as deductions like transportation etc., if filled out correctly the tax will also be correct which means that when you fill out your Selvangivelse (Tax returns) in early 2025 everything will already be correct.

So the Forskudsopgørelse are estimates, the Selvangivelse is what you actually earned etc. If the Forkudsopgørelse is correct you won't receive anything not pay extra taxes.

You dont have to wait the year out. If you have paid to much, and need the money now, contact skat and they can help you.
